Fix broken printing in Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE)

If printing doesn’t work in Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) and running GhostScript (gs) from the commandline yields this message:”gs: error while loading shared libraries: libgs.so.9: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”
then you’ll need to reinstall libgs.so.9.

Howto:

Become root:
su
reinstall via apt-get:
apt-get install --reinstall libgs9

that’s it :)

or if you prefer the GUI way, start up Synaptic Package Manager, search for “libgs9

and reinstall as shown in the image:

synaptic
